How to file a complaint
Any member of the Técnico community, including all professionals, students, researchers, and faculty, has the right to submit reports, complaints, statements, or petitions to the Ombudsmen regarding labor issues or issues related to teaching that undermine this activity, in accordance with the Carta de Direitos e Garantias and Código de Conduta e Boas Práticas ( of the University of Lisbon.
These individuals have the right and responsibility to report discriminatory, offensive, or abusive situations that occur within the scope of their roles and activities.
They can turn to the Ombudsmen for mediation and resolution of these issues, as the Ombudsmen are responsible for ensuring compliance with the rights and principles established in the aforementioned documents.
Contact with the Ombudsmen is preferably done via email, although other forms of contact are not excluded. The communication can be directed to the Education Ombudsman, the Professionals Ombudsman, or both, depending on the nature of the issues:

The reporting email can include:
- A request for a meeting
- A formal written complaint
After the request for a meeting:
Meeting, either in person or through electronic means
Resulting in:
- Adequate clarification, with no further proceedings
- Formal written complaint
After the formal written complaint:
Intervention by the Ombudsman in meetings with the identified parties involved
Resulting in:
- A recommendation from the Ombudsman to the relevant body, service, agent, or member of the Institute.
